The Plumbing/HVAC-R/Sheet Metal department at Providence Career and Technical Academy will prepare our students for continuing education  and careers not only by using the latest tools, equipment, and technology, but also by working with local employers and partners. Through internships and field work we emphasize good work ethics and superb employability skills in a real world environment. The attrition rate of today’s  Plumbing/HVAC-R/Sheet Metal technicians is at an all-time high; this leaves today’s  tradespeople at an average age of approximately 60. There is a very high demand for competent technicians in today's job market. This makes it very likely that students graduating from PCTA will be more appealing and more likely to enjoy well-paying and stable employment. Our mission is to work with families, employers, and the local community to help guide today’s students to well-paying careers and allow for industry to have access to well-rounded applicants for high-paying positions.
